The Confederation of Indian Industry [CII] along with Microsoft conducted the first India Information Security Summit, 2006 in Chennai last week. It focused on the security challenges being faced by the industry and in particularly to the IT professionals.
In the beginning I thought the summit would be like just another Microsoft summit, but the Microsoft Evangelists, Vignesh Doraiswamy and Kevin D'Souza talked lots about security vulnerabilities, Hacker Proofing our Applications, Thread Modeling, SQL Injection, XSS, Cryptography and security concepts in general. Thankfully, the tracks talked less about Microsoft technologies and they don't even talked about the security issues we have in Windows or IE :). To be frank, both the speaker did a good job!
At this moment, I would like to thank my friend S Suresh
